I got my first job working in a sandwich shop during the lunch rush near my college campus making coffee I had never heard of and sandwiches I would never dream of eating. Since then, I had always been working, answering to someone else. After an Army deployment to the Middle East, I realized I wanted my time to be my time again. It was time to be my own boss, punch my own time card, and approve (all of) my own vacation requests.
I crave stories and discovering the best ways to tell them. I am fully aware the stories I tell aren't mine, and my goal is to help those stories grow and walk on their own, telling everyone who will listen. I incorporate everything from movie quotes and song lyrics to peer reviewed research articles and graphic design techniques - whatever best suits the story.
I tell stories.
So, I stay there. That's where the stories are, and I tell stories.
